All or nothing

I often hear the reasons people don't take the time to move their body more. One of the biggest reasons I hear is that, " I don't have time." This is likely very true. Most likely you are juggling your job, kids, pets, activities and household. Time is the one thing you can't seem to get enough of no matter what you do. Work may take up a majority of your day. When you get home, you are often tired and the thought of exercise is too much.
Finding time to exercise should actually be "making time to exercise." Just because you can't do it everyday doesn't mean it's not good to do it one or two days per week. I've seen many people write an exercise plan, fail a day or two, get discouraged and quit. What about scheduling one day of 30 to 60 minutes of exercise. This can be as simple as a walk. Get to the point where you enjoy that walk and find value in giving your brain space and your body movement. Then you gradually add a day or two more. You can't look at missing a day of activity as failure. It's an opportunity to do better. Moving and making better choices is not a pass or fail. It's finding what works for you and adding a little more on a consistent basis.
