Does the scale matter?

Your weight is just a number—but body composition tells the real story. Two people can weigh the same but look completely different based on muscle vs. fat. Instead of chasing a specific number, focus on building strength and losing fat for a healthier, stronger body.

It is so frustrating as a provider when my patients focus on the scale number. They may tell me that they want to weight what they did in high school. They are lovely, strong people. Their worth has nothing to do with their scale weight. Their worth is founded in God.

We were created to do. We cannot do if we are confined by our body. We cannot do if we don't have strength to move. Of course, it is well known that excess fat is a hinderance to our health. However, being skinny and weak is not the answer either. Focus on eating protein, lifting weights, getting sunshine and getting those steps. The goal is to get you to retirement with a healthy body and mind and most of all to enjoy this beautiful world God has so graciously made for us.
